If you love getting your nails done, you might want to make sure you’re in the latest manicure trend – hairy nails. Yes, they have replaced newspaper print nails as the latest trend.

It all started as Creative Nail Design (CND) co-founder, Jan Arnold’s, idea. CND has developed fashion week nail art for the big names in the industry, such as Oscar de la Renta, Cynthia Rowley, and Carolina Herrera, among others. The trend debuted during the Libertine fall/winter 2016 show.

The first furry nails that were created had brown and white polish with a high-gloss top coat and topped off with faux fur coats.

It might seem impractical or even gross for some to rock hairy fingers. Just think about not being able to wash your hands for fear of messing up your nails or how hard it would be to get them off. But if you are into an unusual and shocking look, then this might be the nail beauty trend for you.
